Project Description

The Body, Brain, Life (BBL) project is funded by the Dementia Collaborative Research Centres and is a novel online intervention to assist middle aged individuals at risk of dementia achieve and sustain changes in several lifestyle areas.

The intervention is based on several years of research that has identified modifiable risk factors for dementia and the intervention uses contemporary Behaviour Change theory and tailoring to optimise its efficacy.

The study is a randomised controlled trial including an active control group, an internet only group and an internet plus face-to-face group.

The key outcome measure of this project is dementia risk reduction.

The project will be completed in late 2012.
