This qualitative study will identify perceptions and practical effects of the implementation of the national Food Safety Standard in residential aged care services, and include a literature review of relevant peer reviewed and grey literature.

A purposive, respondent-driven sampling technique will be used to recruit participants with experience in aged-care and dementia advocacy, the management and delivery of care and service in residential care, as well as consumers and their family carers.
