Experimental/quasi-experimental research design and statistical analysis
“Begin with the end in mind”, Covey, 1989.
If you are not feeling confident in your experimental/quasi-experimental research design and statistical analysis expertise, then it is important to involve a statistician in the early stages of your research project for the best possible results.
‘To call in the statistician after the experiment is done may be no more than asking him to perform a post-mortem examination: he may be able to say what the experiment died of.’ ---Ronald Fisher
Appropriate statistical approaches analytic and methods will enhance the scientific rigour of a research project.
Statisticians can provide assist in study design (eg. power/sample size calculations), statistical analysis, manuscript preparation/review, grant application preparation/review, as well as data management.
