Profile

Sophie is a Clinical Dietitian specialized in mental health. She has a background of both engineering and science and also hold a Masters of Nutrition of Dietetics (USYD).

She joined the DCRC-ABC, School of Psychiatry, UNSW in 2014 and is currently working on research into the relationship of nutrition and neurocognitive health. Her research will be based on data from the Memory and Aging Study, the Sydney Centenarian Study, and the Older Australian Twin study and will provide insights into future nutritional interventions to enhance longevity and cognitive function.

Prior to her role as a Clinical Dietitian at NSW Health, Sophie worked at Alice Springs, Northern Territory as a public health dietitian to improve Aboriginal health and chronic disease prevention in Indigenous communities.

Sophie's research interests include clinical nutrition and mental health as well as neuroimaging.
