Professor Wendy Moyle is the Director of the Research Centre for Clinical and Community Practice Innovation (RCCCPI), a research program in the Griffith Health Institute at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia.

She also leads an evidence-based practice for older people research agenda in RCCCPI. Furthermore, she is a partner in the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre - Consumers and Carers, where the focus of her work is on the impact of social engagement and quality of life for people with dementia, families and carers.

Her focus on people with dementia and families can also be seen in her role as a partner in the QLD Dementia Training and Study Centre. Wendy's research has evolved around professional practice issues that focus on an understanding of 'care' in the areas of aged care and in particular mental health.

Wendy's PhD explored the experience of depression and her work on the therapeutic relationship has been highly cited. More recently her research focus has been on finding evidence for managing agitated behaviours in people with dementia using controlled trial designs and complementary and alternative medicine interventions.

Her most significant work has been the recent development of a capabilities model of dementia care. She has a well-established publication and research grant record and has achieved a number of awards in recognition of her teaching, supervision of higher degree students and research.
