Project Description

This PhD project uses data of the Memory and Ageing Study (MAS) to investigate rates, predictors and longitudinal course of caregiver outcomes in informants/caregivers of elderly people. In particular, the study will investigate how decline in cognition and function as well as the emergence of behavioural symptoms in elderly people affect outcomes such as psychological distress, caregiver burden and quality of life for their informants. We are also investigating what other factors predict caregiver burden and distress.
